The Star Dome.

As I entered the room I wondered what to expect. I thought it would be amazing and it was. As soon as I saw the Star Dome I felt nervous because I didn't know what was in there. We had to be quick going in so the air didn't come out. I was one of the last ones to enter. Once I walked in BOOM! a bright red light shined into my eyes blinding me. I came down to sit by Jasmine because we where both scared out of our skin. Suddenly the light turned off. I could only hear lots of wows and more wows. My glasses were lighting up the darkness of the room.  Once the light went off it was kinda scary. Awhina taught us about all the stars in the night sky in Aotearoa. She told us about the Maori hook. The Maori hook in the sky helps us is to find Aotearoa. Awhina taught us a poem about the colours of the stars - white and blue are young and new, red and gold are old and cold.  We can tell when Aotearoaƛ new year comes because there is a star called Puanga that tells us. Once I was out I took a big breath and then it was time to leave. I was a little bit sad but I hope we will do it again.

active learning penguin sled

In He Kawenga we had to make a sled for active learning. These are the materials we used.
You will need
1 piece of cardboard
 5 straws
5 pipe cleaners
90 centimeters of tape
washers for weights
First we got the cardboard then placed the pipe cleans with tape on the cardboard. We got two pipe cleaners for the handles and one for the seat belt. We put washers on it to make it go faster. We decorated it. We tested it and it didn't break and Waddles was safe. Here is my sled.

a place remembered 15.3.19

In He Puna Kawenga we had to write about a place remembered. We had to describe our room without any personnel pronouns.

In the left corner is a dark blue small bed. The coves are pulled back because its not made. The walls are dark blue and there are star's on all of the walls. There's a window with dark blue curtains on it.  The curtains blocks the sun from making the room hot. The wardrobe is a home for bugs.
